This site is for those like minded people with an interest in Allotments and gardening in general. It is not intended as a design statement but a Web where people can watch the progress made on a new Allotment site, share their tips and offer constructive advice. There are ten small but viable plots allocated and already there are three or four different approaches as to the best way of preparing a plot.

Potatoes are now growing well, Parsnips, cauli, cabbage, and sprouts also growing away. Beetroot, carrots, turnips. spring onions and radish seedlings are now showing through so its beginning to look more like an Allotment

George, Gordon and Jim are also showing same progress.

Gordons Plot (2)      Geoffs Plot (1.5)

Jillians Plot         Georges Plot (2)

Sheila's and Dave's Plot     Johns Plot

Natalie and Chris's Plot    Jim's Plot

I decided to take a second plot mainly because little interest was being shown, However since making a start another two people have shown willing, Vicky and her husband Chris and also Vicky's dad John both said they would like a plot, so I have now relinquished the second plot and John will take over. Apart from a half plot near the spring , all the plots are taken and so I am now considering taking on the the last half plot.

I have now agreed to take the remaining half plot and have made a start on clearing it . Gordon has also taken on an extra plot recently given up by Marcus and has just completed the digging and is now planting up with potatoes
